Interventional Radiology (IR)

Interventional radiology (IR) is a medical subspecialty of radiology that performs minimally invasive procedures to diagnose and treat disease using radiologic imaging for procedure guidance. These minimally invasive procedures are done under CT, Mammography, Ultrasound, X-Ray, or MRI guidance; and they have become the primary method of care for a variety of conditions.

You can take comfort in knowing that your procedure is always done by a physician. Interventional radiology procedures are always done by MD Imaging’s Medical Director, Dr. Gray Grossman, who is both board-certified and fellowship-trained in Interventional Radiology.

The following are minimally invasive procedures offered at MD Imaging:

  • Myelogram

  • Arthrogram

  • Breast Biopsy-MRI, Mammography, Ultrasound, or CT guidance

  • Biopsy Thyroid
